Operational Analysis

In 2000, MRI conducted a thorough operational analysis and risk assessment of its SAR team. Formal records have been kept since 1977 so a good understanding of changing trends was obtained. As well as making due regard to statistical trends, risk assessment was made of key sites such as Stonehaven and other harbours, Strathlethen Bay and the Bowduns amongst others. We have also photographed in detail the entire coastline within our operational area.
