NEW STRIPES!!

MRI's SAR Lifeboat operational area is delineated north and south by the overlap of Aberdeen and Montrose RNLI stations. The coastal sea area, in normal operational circumstances, is bounded by Findon Ness to the North and Gourdon to the South. Aberdeen airport and heliport and Aberdeen and Montrose sea ports were included in the operational analysis to take account of major incidents which could occur within Stonehaven designated SAR area as traffic makes way, or leaves these points. As an efficient crew we need to know more than just the visual aspects of a site. MRI declares its SAR LIfeboat resource via HM Coastguard for: Provision of SAR Lifeboat resource via HM Coastguard for the area of the Kincardineshire coast and 50 nautical miles seaward. For an advanced map of our operational area .
