Feedback from Pupils ...

Realising that you can learn

"Thought it would be really difficult but was fun! Did a brilliant rescue on Clare!"

Learning how to be in charge in a mock rescue

"Learned loads... was nervous at first but once I spoke to Christian I was happier. Had to use a loud voice. I don't think I took enough initiative to give commands myself but was glad I didn't have to get soaking. Couldn't have done it without help"

Looking at the local environment

"Walk was quite tiring but I noticed things I wouldn't normally."

Building confidence in the surf zone

"Really fun but lots of water in eyes and mouth (yuck!) best days I've been in. Learned loads about waves"

Experiencing the sea

"the wet suits were quite warm and the water wasn't that bad, the sea weed was horrible and the assault course was good!"

Debriefing the first attempt at a group decision making exercise

"really stressful - no one listened, or worked together and all got cheesed off".

And after the second one

"what I did today: understand how time wasting/disagreement can occur, control a discussion, organisation, open minded, other points of view, one voice at a time, focus on and finish one point/issue at a time, nominate a scribe, set an agenda, delegate tasks, listen, reflection".
