Training outcomes
- Be able to assist in preparing, launching and recovering an inland waterway emergency response craft
- Be able to handle craft in an appropriate manner for all operations
- Have good knowledge and understanding of casualty recovery techniques
- Have adequate knowledge and understanding to effectively work with technical rope team
- Be aware of hazards of operating craft in different types of inland waters

Pre-requisites
- Have completed the 2 day Inland Waterways Basic Awareness OR
- Be able to give evidence of knowledge and understanding of the syllabus for 2 day Inland Waterways Basic Awareness and demonstrate that this knowledge and understanding is valid.
