What do we do?

MRI the world renowned Maritime Rescue Institute (MRI) is a Scottish Charity (SCO32388) based in Stonehaven, Kincardineshire on the North East Coast of Scotland. MRI are providers of specialist training programmes and advisory services on all forms of waterborne emergency response to organisations and governments around the world.

MRI provides 24 hour SAR Lifeboat response via HM Coastguard for Kincardineshire coast and up to 50 nautical miles offshore.


MRI provides nationally and internationally:

Advisory/training services in waterborne emergency response and rescue

Development and evaluatory services in aspects of waterborne emergency response and rescue

Educational and awareness programmes relating to water environments.
