Vision Statement:

MRI's vision is to be the delivery agency of choice for Search and Rescue training and consultancy, having gained and sustained global market respect for the quality, relevance and professionalism of its product. It will have positioned itself to anticipate and meet demand through interaction with the International Maritime Rescue Federation, government, non-government and commercial maritime agencies, while equipping itself, both materially and conceptually, as an acknowledged Centre of Excellence and proven authority in Maritime Rescue matters. It's reputation, both locally and market-wide, will be supported through the continued delivery of full-time maritime rescue operations along the Kincardineshire Coast with a comprehensive coastal Lifeboat Service, comprising a suite of modern rescue craft of appropriate capability sustainred at immediate notice by dedicated, experienced and highly professional crews.

MRI the world renowned Maritime Rescue Institute (MRI) is a Scottish Charity (SCO32388) based in Stonehaven, Kincardineshire on the North East Coast of Scotland. MRI are providers of specialist training programmes and advisory services on all forms of waterborne emergency response to organisations and governments around the world.

MRI provides 24 hour SAR Lifeboat response via HM Coastguard for Kincardineshire coast and up to 50 nautical miles offshore.

MRI provides nationally and internationally:
Advisory/training services in waterborne emergency response and rescue
Development and evaluatory services in aspects of waterborne emergency response and rescue
Educational and awareness programmes relating to water environments.
